Privacy Policy
[Updated July 14, 2026]
Our site, hcinfo.com, uses web forms to collect names, email addresses, and other contact information for the purpose of sending information requested, information about webinars, articles, and events, and promotional emails about our products. For one of our publication products, customers are directed from hcinfo.com to other sites (amazon.com and smashwords.com) for ordering. HC Info is not responsible for the privacy practices, security, or the content of such websites. Cookies are used by Google for website analytics and by Keap (fka InfusionSoft) for contact forms. HC Info does not use cookies for targeted advertising.
Our cloud-based SaaS application, LAMPS (lamps-hcinfo.com), includes an order form for customers to purchase our products. We collect customers’ contact information (like their email address) and financial information (like purchase order numbers and credit card numbers). Contact information from the order form is used to send information about the transaction, product ordered, and our company. The information is also used to contact the customer when necessary (e.g., notifying customers about a change to the software application). A customer’s purchase order number appears on their invoice. Credit card information is not stored or processed in LAMPS; it is collected only briefly in LAMPS and then processed and stored by authorize.net. Water system and building information, test results, and other information entered by customers into the LAMPS database, and data sent from sensors and labs into the LAMPS database, are used for configuring and maintaining a customer’s site (e.g., management plan and/or data analytics) in LAMPS and for HC Info’s use of anonymous aggregated data per the LAMPS terms of use. Cookies are used in LAMPS to temporarily store customer preferences; cookies are not used for advertising.
We do not sell customer information. We use the information to operate our business and provide our products and services, which may include disclosing it to providers of services such as hosting, payment processing, and email delivery.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our products and services, maintain business and transaction records, comply with legal obligations, and satisfy our obligations per the LAMPS terms of use.
HC Info has formal, written Incident Response, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity plans for handling LAMPS incidents such as disasters and breaches.
